Description
This teaching module builds upon the first-year course English for Health Sciences and develops a specific focus on health in the workplace. Key thematic areas include the epidemiology of work-related health conditions, psychosocial factors, workplace ergonomics, injury prevention, return-to-work processes, and digital tools and the future of work. A range of activities is used to develop both comprehension and expression in English, with a particular emphasis on analysing and communicating workplace health issues in academic and professional contexts.
Objectifs
- Develop knowledge of key issues related to health in the workplace
- Strengthen the ability to analyse and discuss workplace health topics in English
- Build confidence in written and spoken communication in academic and professional contexts
Évaluation
Évaluation Session 1 :
- Participation in weekly tutorials (20%)
- Short oral presentation (40%)
- Short written comprehension task (40%)
All evaluation for session 1 will take place during programmed tutorials. No use of AI
Évaluation Session 2 : Formal evaluation of oral and written comprehension (100%). No use of AI.
Évaluation Dérogatoire : Per session 1 and session 2 indicated above.
