English for Health Sciences and Health Communication

This course aims to strengthen English language skills in the context of healthcare and health sciences. Key thematic areas include clinical research, health technology, and contemporary issues in health service delivery. Activities are designed to develop both comprehension and expression in reading and writing, alongside oral communication. Targeted revision of key grammatical structures is provided where necessary.

-  Develop a broader and more precise command of vocabulary across a range of health-related topics

- Improve the ability to understand and communicate concepts related to healthcare, health research, and health service delivery

- Gain confidence in both written and spoken communication in professional and academic contexts

Évaluation Session 1 : 

- Participation in weekly tutorials (20%)

- Short oral presentation (40%)

- Short written comprehension task (40%)

All evaluation for session 1 will take place during programmed tutorials. No use of AI

Évaluation Session 2 : Formal evaluation of oral and written comprehension (100%). No use of AI.

Évaluation Dérogatoire : Per session 1 and session 2 indicated above.

Students are expected to have a minimum English level of B1 (CEFR) at the start of the course.

·      Use appropriate vocabulary and phrasing to communicate in academic and professional contexts

Understand and interpret written documents related to healthcare and health sciences
