Commercial Law

This module consists of 24 hours of lectures and interactive class discussion, exclusively in English, on various selected aspects of commercial law in the UK and in the US. It focuses on the main issues arising in commercial matters in contract and in torts, i.e. contract validity, battle of the forms, performance, frustration, hardship, right to cure, negligence, product liability, applicable law, jurisdiction, arbitration. Special attention shall be paid to the English common law matrix, especially for international business transactions, with some incursions into the American system.
