Dossier juridique bilingue

Individual project under academic supervision. The student will choose a document with a substantial law content (typical examples would be court judgment, academic article, legislative text ). The student will spend the semester translating the document or a substantial extract from the document under the supervision of an academic tutor. The project will also consist in producing a short glossary and an analysis of the translation challenges presented by the document. Assessment will be based on the written document and a short viva.

Develop reflection on the challenges of legal translation and on the difficulty in identifying equivalent of legal terms.

Develop autonomy in identifying and working on a legal project.
