Description
This course presents classical experimental studies in social psychology, as well as recent work in this discipline. Concepts of experimental method (such as independent variables, dependent variables, experimental design, internal validity, external validity) are discussed with the presentation of each experiment. In addition, the theoretical framework and the construction of hypotheses are examined in detail, as well as possible applications to current social problems. The main topics covered are: attitudes, self, intergroup relations. This teaching is also an opportunity to enrich one's vocabulary in English, specializing in social psychology.
Objectifs
The objective of this course is to familiarize students from different disciplines with the experimental approach of social psychology.
