L'objectif de ces travaux dirigés (1h30 hebdomadaire) est d'initier les étudiants au difficile exercice de la traduction du français vers l’anglais. En s'appuyant sur des textes journalistiques à coloration juridique, les étudiants acquerront les techniques de base de la traduction (procédés de traduction, équivalences d’une langue à l’autre, etc.) et enrichiront leur vocabulaire dans la langue cible. Ils réviseront et approfondiront également leurs connaissances en grammaire anglaise (thème grammatical). – The aim of these tutorials (1.5 hrs per week) is to introduce students to the demanding practice of translation from French to English. Using excerpts from news articles students will acquire essential translation skills, including translation strategies and learning how to find equivalent expressions between the two languages. In addition, students will review and strengthen their understanding of English grammar through targeted grammar exercises focusing on the translation of specific grammatical structures.
