Description

This course aims to introduce students to user-centered innovation approaches, through immersion in design thinking and systems thinking. Structured around a long-term throughline project, this ongoing systemic design workshop places students in an active position of inquiry and problem-solving around complex, real-world issues.

In a first phase, students explore the problem within its broader context, using tools such as stakeholder mapping, the empathy map, the leverage points map, the iceberg model, the three horizons framework, and other systemic design tools. The goal is to identify needs, interactions, root causes, and levers for transformation.

In a second phase, students envision possible futures and design innovative solutions using creativity, prototyping, and foresight methods. Particular attention is given to designing solutions that create sustainable value for the system as a whole.

The course is built on project-based learning that fosters collaboration, experimentation, creativity, critical thinking, and reflective learning. It aims to develop future managers' ability to lead innovation in complex, constantly evolving environments.

A significant personal commitment is expected, both in group deliverables and in individual reflection.
